Yonkers Force JV Faces Tough Loss to Mamaroneck Tigers in another Rainy Showdown

Yonkers, NY – In a soggy and challenging match on their home turf, the Yonkers Force JV football team found themselves on the wrong end of a 26-16 scoreline against the Mamaroneck Tigers. The wet conditions and resilient Tigers posed a significant challenge for the Force, but it was not without its standout performances and moments to remember.

As the rain poured down on the field, it was evident that the conditions would play a significant role in the game. Quarterback #17 Omar Areche struggled to find his rhythm in the slippery conditions, managing just 65 passing yards. However, he did connect with his favorite target, #31 Garrison Brown, for a 45-yard touchdown pass, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the adversity. Areche also showcased his dual-threat capabilities, contributing 31 rushing yards, but he was plagued by two interceptions.

One standout player for the Yonkers Force JV was #38 Jason Spence Lamarr. Lamarr continued his stellar season by accumulating an impressive 120 rushing yards, including a remarkable 45-yard touchdown run that ignited the crowd despite the rain. His impact wasn’t limited to offense, though, as he also came through with a crucial blocked field goal and three tackles, showcasing his all-around contributions to the team.
