Yonkers Force Make Their Debut at Big Apple 7v7
On June 8th, the Yonkers Force football team stepped onto the field for their first-ever 7v7 tournament at the Big Apple 7v7. Although the day ended with a 1-2 record, the team demonstrated incredible promise and determination, showing everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with.
Coach Joe Venice was full of praise for the team’s effort, highlighting their resilience and spirit throughout the tournament. “Our guys gave it their all,” Coach Venice remarked. “Despite the challenges, they never backed down and kept pushing forward.”
A special shoutout goes to Izzy, who played an exceptional role by taking every snap at center. Izzy’s selflessness and dedication were on full display, as he consistently supported his teammates and kept the team’s momentum going. Though we couldn’t get him a touchdown this time, Izzy’s performance was nothing short of stellar.
